About WilmingtonMommies
How this group began is pretty simple. A few moms sought others who understood the journey that they were embarking. All of the mothers, who join, new or veteran, need to feel a sense of community and self. Knowing that you are not alone when you are up all night with a sick baby, dealing with the frustrations of tantrums and potty training, the strain on family and home, and all that we carry is so important to all of us. A forum to chat, share ideas, jokes, recipes, plan activities, show support, and make new friends can be beneficial to all mothers.
Finding friends at this point in our lives is not always easy. Randomly finding a sympathetic ear, a genuine smile, a feeling of being understood in the absence of a network of other moms who are sharing many of the same experiences is unlikely and that is why we are here at the Wilmington Mommies Network.

About The Mommies Network
The Mommies Network is a 501c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping parents find support and friendship in their local community. Members of our network sites chat online in members-only discussion forums - discussing everything from the best photographers to the worst temper tantrums and all that lies between - and meet-up regularly at member-driven events in their city. Whether it's a late night commiseration on a crying baby (there are 4 am posts to prove it) or a Parent's Night Out at a great new restaurant, our groups provide what their members need, when and how they need it.
Our members work full time, stay home full time, work part time, represent many races, are pregnant for the first time, are adoptive parents, were adopted themselves, recently moved to the area, have lived here all their lives, have twins, are happy with one, are single parents, are searching out schools and have watched their kids graduate. In other words, we are a reflection of moms and dads in the real world.
